Head Lice Treatment

If you find a head full of lice, here is a great natural alternative to head lice treatment which will kill the lice and loosen the eggs from the hair. You will need: 5 drops of tea tree oil (melaleuca) 5 drops geranium oil 5 drops lavender oil 5 drops clove oil 50ml smoothing conditioner In a 250ml spray bottle, add all essential oils, squeeze in the conditioner and fill the rest of the bottle with boiled or filtered water. Shake well before use. I personally would leave this to sit in the hair for at least 5-10 mins to take effect before going through the hair with a lice comb. Head Lice Protection Spray

This has always been my pet hate, living in the tropics of North Queensland, head lice run rampant. I have also found that lice seem to like to hotter weather but do appear less frequently in the cooler months but can still appear. There are some really great treatments out there but lice can get immune to what you're using plus a lot contain unhealthy chemicals that we don't want to expose our kids or us to. I have found some great natural remedies. This recipe has been created to help stop lice from making a home in the head its jumped onto. In a spray bottle, fill 3/4 with water then add: 10-20ml of conditioner (lice can't move in conditioner or oily products/hair) 2-3 drops tea tree oil (melaleuca) 2-3 drops lavender oil 2-3 drops eucalyptus oil Shake well and spray on hair daily.
